Our story
Luminary Living Support was started by a family that had been on the other side of this work — coordinating care for an aging parent and watching how often the system fails on continuity. Different caregiver every visit. Bills that did not match the conversation. Care plans nobody could find a copy of.
We built the agency we wished we had hired. A small team, a real care coordinator on every case, plain pricing, and caregivers who stay with your family for years — not weeks.
What we believe
Continuity is the care
Home care does not work because of clever scheduling software or a long list of services. It works because the same person shows up, on the same days, and learns how your parent likes their coffee. We staff for continuity first and rotate caregivers only when we have to.
Pricing should be plain English
Our pricing fits on one page. There is an hourly rate, a minimum shift length, and a handful of clearly labeled add-ons (holidays, mileage). No bundled mystery fees and no contracts that lock you into a year. If you cannot understand what you are paying for, that is on us, not on you.
Aging in place is a goal, not a slogan
Almost everyone we work with would rather stay in their own home. That is the whole job — making staying home possible, longer, safer, and with more dignity than the alternative. Sometimes that means a few hours of companion care a week. Sometimes it means 24-hour coverage for the last months of dementia. We work at whatever level keeps the goal alive.
