What They Can Do
- Personal Care: Help with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Mobility Support: Assist with walking, transfers, and posture.
- Meal Preparation: Cook, serve, and clean up.
- Light Housekeeping: Dust, vacuum, sweep, and do laundry.
- Medication Reminders: Remind clients when to take pre-sorted pills.
- Errands & Travel: Drive to doctor visits and buy groceries.
- Companionship: Talk, play games, and keep clients company.
What They Cannot Do
- Give Medications: Cannot open pill bottles or give injections.
- Treat Wounds: Cannot change sterile dressings or care for deep wounds.
- Manage Medical Gear: Cannot adjust oxygen, feeding tubes, or ventilators.
- Perform Special Care: Cannot clear tracheostomies or manage colostomy bags.
- Nail Trimming: Cannot clip or trim fingernails or toenails.
- Provide Therapy: Cannot design or run physical therapy routines.
- Offer Medical Advice: Cannot diagnose symptoms or change doctor orders.
